Project Manager I

As a Project Manager I, you will be responsible for leading a variety of programs and projects, including strategic initiatives, new products and services, large-scale application development and systems integration.  This position focuses on achieving strategic organizational goals and business results by leading and facilitating program and project delivery.

Your responsibilities:

• Independently support and assist in driving the facilitation of one or more strategic initiatives, encompassing the definition, planning, orchestration, and realization of a given strategic initiative and/or business outcome.

• Facilitate and support the management of resources, scope, scope changes, timelines, risks, and issues, making use of sound technical judgment and thorough, practicable solutions.

• Establish, monitor, and assist in steering the team to accomplish milestones in alignment with the business case and program/project objectives.

• Spearhead comprehensive reporting on the progress of the program/project to key stakeholders.

• Identify, escalate, and expertly mitigate project risks, issues, and resource constraints/challenges, clearly communicating the impact to the project.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the successful execution of all project metrics and goals, acting as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

• Apply business acumen, skills, knowledge, and understanding to effectively influence and drive behavior and results.

• Align projects with strategic objectives, and proactively seek opportunities to enhance efficiencies, cost-effectiveness, quality, and service.

• Conduct comprehensive research on industry trends, stay current on key issues, and apply these learnings to improve products or services.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Four Year Degree or equivalent
  • 5 or more years business experience in any business function
  • Experience participating and/or leading projects and/or workstreams within a project or equivalent related experience
  • Experience reporting project lifecycle, delays and successes to all required stakeholders
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams to drive business results, navigate people, influencing, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages.
  • Ability to interface with, influence and collaborate with personnel at all levels
  • Ability to engage supplier partners to deliver contractual obligations and performance in achieving a desired outcome
  • Ability to work on multiple, complex projects, simultaneously with frequent interruptions and see them to completion with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to learner
  • Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility in a fast-changing environment
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with co-workers and all stakeholder levels.
  • Willingness to exert discretionary effort and personal commitment to the project success

Good to have:

  • Experience in Project Management and/or Project Leadership experience
  • Project Management Certification
  • Vendor Management experience
  • Fluent with Microsoft Suite, include MS Teams, MS Project web and desktop

Ardent Mills is headquartered in Denver, CO.  This role will be hybrid from one of our hub offices in Denver, Omaha or Minneapolis.  The successful candidate will be expected to commit to a periodic presence in the office, the frequency of which is open to discussion with the hiring manager.

Competitive Compensation:

We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $86,200 - $104,000, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - MIP, 10% Annual.
