Lead Elevator Operator

1st Shift 6AM-3PM

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of operational experience preferred
  • Elevator Experience preferred but not required
  • Prior leadership experience preferred

Job Requirements:

  • Must be knowledgeable in all operations with the Elevator, including the unloading of wheat railcars and trucks, and be able to process the correct paperwork that applies
  • Understand the strategies of grain management in relation to maintaining grain condition.
  • Must be able to perform all jobs within the elevator department
  • Knowledgeable in sample collecting and proper testing of products for quality control programs and specifications related to wheat blends and transfers
  • Must be able to perform greasing, clear objects from spouting, and maintain all equipment
  • Ability to adequately perform sanitation and housekeeping duties
  • Creating and scheduling work orders using D365
  • Maintain a clear and precise line of communication with management
  • Must uphold safety standard throughout the elevator department
  • Must effectively demonstrate the ability to lead the team while exercising sound judgment with minimal managerial oversight.
  • Be familiar with inputting inventory
  • Be willing to learn pesticide application

Due to production needs, this position may require availability 7 days a week.

Physical requirements and working conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):

  • Willing and able to work in a plant environment that at times, may be dusty, include temperature extremes, involve climbing, heavy lifting, and other forms of physical exertion
  • Willing and able to work with wheat products, dust, i.e., no wheat /gluten sensitivity, intolerance and/or allergies
  • Willing to work any shift

Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.

Competitive Compensation:

We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $25.20 - $33.50, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - OIP, 5% Annual.
