Customer Service Representative

Your role:

As the Customer Service Representative (CSR) you will be the key liaison between Ardent Mills’ external customers and internal stakeholders building trust and serving those both inside and outside of the organization.

The CSR is responsible for managing and maintaining strong customer relationships as the primary point of contact for an assigned customer base and acting as the voice of the customer back to the business. A successful candidate will have the following attributes:

Your responsibilities:

  • Order Management/ Fulfillment: The CSR is responsible for accurate order entry, contract application, and price confirmation management. The CSR will solicit customer orders based on customer trends and/or customer inventory. This person will also work cross-functionally with mill schedulers, transportation, sales and supply chain to ensure Ardent Mills is meeting our customer’s expectations.
  • Customer Relationship Management: The CSR will act as a liaison between the customer and all internal Ardent Mills functions. The CSR will create and foster positive customer relationships through daily/weekly interaction and timely and professional service. In addition, this person will acquire/maintain customer insight/information and provide it to the business.
  • Incident Management: The CSR will work to resolve customer incidents, collaborating with all parties to make decisions that are best for all involved. The CSR will also track customer relationships using the Incident Management Process and communicate relevant information throughout the organization.
  • Demand Management: The CSR is accountable to track and communicate changes in short term customer demand and escalate as appropriate to the business to ensure we are proactively able to meet our customer’s needs.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 3+ years customer service experience
  • Preferred: Customer service experience including order entry and customer relationship management
  • Preferred: SAP, Microsoft GP or other ERP software working knowledge
  • Preferred: Logistics and/or Transportation experience
  • The ability to delve into details and problem solve
  • The ability to balance competing priorities with the skills to successfully multi-task in fast paced environment
  • The ability to deliver accurate results in an efficient manner
  • Willingness to lead by example, help drive team engagement and influence others positively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office skills to include; Outlook, Excel, & Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual; Spanish preferred but not necessary

Good to have:

  • Strong preference for bilingual candidate; Spanish preferred
  • First-hand knowledge and experience in the flour milling industry or food manufacturing
  • ERP software working knowledge
  • Logistics and/or transportation industry experience

Ardent Mills is headquartered in Denver, CO. The strong preference is for this role to be based in Denver and to operate under a hybrid structure of part-time in-office and part-time remote. A full remote work arrangement for a non-local applicant may be considered for the right candidate.

We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $24.22 - $32.30, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - MIP, 5% Annual.
