Sr. Director, Marketing
The Sr. Director, Marketing participates as a key member of the leadership team for the Chief Growth Officer through leading the implementation and management of Marketing, Product Management and Commercialization activities. This role is responsible for the overall marketing strategy and plan execution to deliver profitable growth, based on meeting customer and consumer needs, in line with the CLIMB strategy. Build organizational capabilities across marketing functions to add value and deliver against commercial strategy. Works closely with and maintains open communication with broader organizational leadership and teams to smoothly coordinate and interface commercialization activities with other functional areas across the organization. Continuously leverages the synergies that are created by having these teams work closely together to improve the end-to-end customer experience. Implements programs and evaluates effectiveness to meet changing markets and competitive conditions (e.g. pricing, promotion, product, etc.). Oversees the development, definition and execution of marketing strategies that build strong brand awareness, enables the sales teams, drives new customer acquisition and generates growth in revenue across Ardent Mills. Develops brand identity for each business and drives articulation of the brand positioning through the end-to-end customer experience and the purchase funnel. Leads a team of marketers to develop marketing strategies and campaigns - spanning content, acquisition, engagement, and retention. Leads and grows a rigorous and effective marketing function, delivering innovative and compelling marketing and advertising solutions that drive measurable results for the business. Attracts, develops and retains top talent across all teams that is nimble, responsive to the market and continuously learning.

Create and deliver Ardent Mills marketing strategy and processes in collaboration with CGO, VP Sales and other functions to unlock growth.
Lead product and customer marketing teams to develop and implement annual operating plans to drive customer and market growth.
Establish and develop marketing functions within Ardent Mills, creating value for B2B business.
Drive cross-functional collaboration with commercial teams (Research, Quality & Technical Services (RQT), Sales, Pricing, Annex by Ardent Mills) to deliver on overall growth and profitability objectives.
Partner with RQT Leader to develop innovation platforms, approach and processes to deliver against objectives as defined in the CLIMB.
Work with VP Sales to create and execute meaningful customer strategies and focus on key segments for growth.
Support Annex GM in defining strategy and priorities for growth in specialty grains based on market knowledge, capabilities and business requirements.
Establish Ardent Mills as Industry Thought Leader through content, media and PR/Influencer strategy.
Create culture of accountability by establishing clear metrics of success and instilling measurement and ROI of activities across marketing function.
Essential skills and experience:
Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on marketing, communications and business; MBA preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of marketing experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Specific experience in marketing management of business-to-business (B2B) service &/or product industry.
Applies in-depth market understanding and consumer/customer insights to build strong product and customer strategies.
Strong knowledge of the Ardent Mills business, products, customers and brand.
Ability to drive business and investment strategy based on customer and product priorities.
Demonstrated commercial success across multiple customer channels product categories and geographies in a team environment.
Ability to successfully lead and develop team capabilities
Ability to lead multi-functional teams and manage overall business, considering needs across the organization.
Comfortable working as a member of leadership teams with shared decision-making responsibility.
Works effectively with minimal direction and displays an urgency to achieve results.
Able to balance the need of multiple key stakeholders simultaneously.
Looks at data from a strategic point of view and at ‘root-cause’ analysis.
