Quality Development Associate

Your role:

Cultivate is Ardent Mill’s 15-month Operations Development Program, structured and designed to provide team members with a foundational understanding of how to live Ardent Mills' vision and values while gaining hands-on experience in the industry, both with processes and people.  


Quality Development Associates will participate in a wide range of experiences, such as: 

  • Hands-on experience with all departments and team members 

  • Leadership interfacing to learn more about core policies and processes 

  • Leading others under the guidance of an experienced Quality Manager  

  • Product quality analysis 

  • Local and organization-wide project work 

  • Customer visits and interfacing 

  • Assisting with internal and external auditing 

  • Potential short-term assignments at other facilities

As a Quality Development Associate, you will have opportunities to relocate to other Ardent Mills facilities within the US as you gain skills and experiences throughout the program. The Development Associate role is not permanent but meant to be a steppingstone for development that will lead to a progressively challenging permanent role within the organization, often at a different location. As a part of this leadership role at Ardent Mills, you will be required to work alongside your team members, which may include long days, rotating shifts (days, evenings, and nights) as well as weekend or holiday work. Essential skills and experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Milling Science, Bakery Science, Ag Studies, Business, Food Science, Life Sciences, Biosystems Engineering, or related studies, or equivalent work experience 

  • Demonstrated initiative, self-starter 

  • Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written 

  • Demonstrated ability to work across functions and collaborate 

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment 

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities 


Other considerations: 

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time 

  • Must be authorized to work in the Unites states without sponsorship now and in the future
