Maintenance Technician II
As a Maintenance Technician II, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, fixing, and maintaining equipment. You will support and enable preventative maintenance at the plant. You are expected to learn intermediate maintenance skills and complete related tasks as needed.

Your responsibilities:
Perform maintenance tasks per work orders assigned.
Familiarity with using CMMS.
Understand how to work safely and speak up when you do not.
Ability to successfully complete industrial mechanical/electrical coursework to expand maintenance skills and continue progressing toward Maintenance Technician III (Master Mechanic).
Train other Maintenance and Reliability Technicians
Essential skills and experience:
The following skills/experience requirements are not all inclusive but are representative of the skills/experience commonly associated with this position.
General Requirements:
High School diploma or GED
5+ years of experience in Industrial Maintenance in manufacturing environment, or some Industrial Maintenance experience with verifiable Industrial Maintenance schooling.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to read, write and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.
Ability to use basic math operations to complete daily tasks.
Effectively use computer applications.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
Ability to deal with high stress situations.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including ability to problem solve
Experience with predictive/preventative maintenance.
Knowledge of food safety requirements and HACCP
Safety:
Clear and demonstrable understanding of Lock out/Tag out procedures and energy isolation.
Understanding of and experience with various fall protection equipment and industry standard practices.
Familiar with the use of Hot Work Permits, as well as fire prevention equipment (fire extinguishers, welding blankets and welding curtains).
Ability to clearly understand and operate within the company’s Health and Safety Program.
Mechanical:
Installation and repair of a variety of power transmission devices including bearings, gear reducers, chain drives, sprockets and belt drives.
Experience with maintenance of chain conveyors, belt conveyors and augers.
Experience with installation and maintenance of electric motors and various motor couplings.
Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of pneumatics.
Knowledge of basic rigging/lifting techniques.
Electrical:
Experience working with voltages ranging from 12 to 24 VDC and 120 to 480 VAC. Experience troubleshooting and replacing 3 phase AC motors. Basic understanding and troubleshooting of motor controls including motor starters, relays, push button stations, and thermal overload relays.
Basic understanding of PLC operations, serial communications, ethernet communications, field instrumentation and I/O functions. Experience with A/C drives (VFD, Reduced voltage starters) would be a plus.
Fabrication:
Experience with welding and fabrication. Ability to measure and cut using oxy-acetylene torches or plasma torches. Ability to weld using SMAW, GMAW, or GTAW (STICK, MIG, TIG).
Physical Requirements:
Must be physically able to perform work assigned
Access all areas within a site which could include heights, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, common use of man lifts.
Work will be predominately in an indoor manufacturing facility but will require working outdoors periodically.
Able to periodically lift over 50 pounds.
Good to have:
Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.
