Your role:
As Shift Miller you will be responsible for specific phases in the rice/flour milling process, cleaning of equipment, ensure quality of product and others duties assigned by the supervisor as needed.
Principal Accountabilities:
Manage Prism data entry.
Coordinate tasks of Bulk Loader (Only Rice)
Responsible for communicating to supervisors and department personnel.
Ability to handle pressure and stress
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to train fellow coworkers on procedures and policies
Responsible for accuracy and integrity of record keeping
Inventory of finished products and packing as needed
Other administrative tasks as needed
Work in a safe, conscientious, organized, and efficient manner.
Ensure the mill is operating at its most efficient level at all times, report to the Head Miller any and all problems and opportunities to improve the mills safety and performance.
Ensure the production meets the required specifications and make adjustments accordingly to correct any out of spec conditions.
Ability to learn and operate Air Compressors, computer operation and Databases, PLC, cleaning process and mill equipment.
Develop and possess mechanical ability to assist in all aspects of the mill repair.
Clearly and effectively communicate with peers and supervisors.
Learn and proficiently perform testing and monitoring of product quality through the cleaning process, following the guidance of the USDA and FDA.
Able to perform required preventative checks and repairs such as greasing, oil level checks, inspections of equipment operation and minor adjustments and repairs such as spouts, conveyors and other cleaning and processing equipment.
Input the production into the computer on the daily shift basis.
Complete Food Products Audits, daily checks and other critical duties on a daily basis.
Specialized cleaning tasks such as bin cleaning, conveyors, scales, hoppers, working sifters, filter sock changes, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Education, Experience, Skills:
Must have a high school education and/or equivalent work experience.Must be familiar with manufacturing equipment and be able to adjust machines for maximum performance.
Must understand air compressor functions and how to restart it if necessary.
Must be able to read and write legibly.Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide and perform simple arithmetic calculations.
Must be safety conscious and work in a safe manner.Must be dependable and cooperative at all times.Must be able to get along well with other employees.
Must be willing and able to learn and operate the automated cleaning house.
Must be able to work weekends and night shifts (shifts will rotate).
Education in related field is a plus.

Competitive Compensation:
We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $17.70 - $23.69, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - OIP, 5% Annual.
