IT Test Automation Manager

As the IT Test Automation Manager at Ardent Mills, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that our software products meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and reliability. The role of the IT Test Automation Manager is accountable for establishing and overseeing the testing process from beginning to end, leveraging testing services and automation tools. A successful candidate will provide testing expertise related to all types of applications. This role will not only provide testing expertise but will also be required to provide guidance and training to others.

 Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the automated test strategy and plans to ensure software quality.
  • Configure, deploy, and manage adoption of Playwright and Selenium for automated test cases.
  • Assist in the development of automated test scripts built in Typescript for regression test suites on strategic platforms and applications.
  • Recommend new tools, techniques and methodologies needed to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Document and demonstrate solutions to development and test teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, and Business Architects to understand product requirements and define test coverage.
  • Analyze testability of project requirements.
  • Oversee the execution of test cases, both manual and automated, and ensure they are completed on time.
  • Calculate high level testing resource estimate based on project size, complexity and duration.
  • Supports test script development and the optimization of those scripts.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
  • Ensure defects are identified, tracked, and managed efficiently
  • Provide regular updates on test progress, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
  • Lead post-release/ post-implementation testing review to gather insights and drive improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in software testing.
  • Experience with Playwright and Selenium test automation tools
  • Expertise in Typescript scripting language
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.

Nice to Have:

  • Certifications like ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
  • API level test automation expertise
  • Experience with web service technology like XML, JSON, REST
  • Technical understanding of cloud resources (Azure), web services, server-side components and APIs

Competitive Compensation:

We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $102,600.00 - $136,896.10, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - MIP, 15% Annual.
