Sr. Application Owner (Salesforce)
About the Role
As a part of our Application Support Team, you will be responsible for production support, small enhancements, incident management, problem management, vendor management for our enterprise and in-house applications. The principal goal of the team is to provide excellent support by troubleshooting issues, implementing solutions, and providing technical guidance to end-users. This will involve direct interaction with end-users responding to tickets and requests that come through our Help Desk Team.
The Application Team works closely with product owners and developers to gain a deeper understanding how to support our in-house applications. They support product improvement by handling product requests and perform research of product issues to help identify solutions to product problems and prioritization of issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Salesforce System Management:
- Assist with managing and maintaining the Salesforce platform, including configuration, customization, and integration with other systems.
- Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues in collaboration with IT teams.
- Implement and manage security and access controls to safeguard company data.
User Support and Training:
- Provide training and support to Salesforce users, ensuring they are proficient in using the platform to its full potential.
- Act as the go-to person for user inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and resolving challenges.
- Requirements Analysis and Solution Design:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into Salesforce solutions.
- Assist in design and configure Salesforce to meet the needs of various teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service.
Data Management:
- Oversee data quality and integrity within Salesforce.
- Implement data migration and data cleaning processes as needed.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Create and maintain custom reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights for management and teams.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and make recommendations for improvements.
Workflow Automation:
- Develop and optimize workflows, process automation, and approval processes to streamline operations and improve productivity.
Integration and AppExchange Management:
- Manage integrations with third-party applications and AppExchange solutions to extend the functionality of Salesforce.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and integrations to enhance Salesforce capabilities.
Documentation and Best Practices:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, customizations, and best practices.
- Stay current with Salesforce updates and recommend new features or improvements.
Additional Responsibilities
- Additional vendor supported applications will be owned within this role. This will not be just a Salesforce administrator role.
- Own the vendor relationship for all vendor supported platforms. Drive and prioritize enhancement, incident and maintenance work with these teams.
- Respond to incoming tickets and accurately identify, diagnose, prioritize, resolve the tickets within established SLA standards following established processes.
- Participate in an after-hours support rotation to provide support to end-users.
- Work effectively in a team environment to promptly provide support to our users and with a positive customer service attitude.
- Partners with Product Management team to ensure application alignment to product roadmaps
Essential Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of Information Technology
- Knowledge of ITIL Processes
- Experience in application lifecycle management
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator
- Strong understanding of Salesforce configuration and customization
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator Certification (CRT 250)
- Salesforce Advanced Administrator Certification (ADM 301)
- Familiarity with Data Loader, SFDX, Gearset, Workbench, Postman, SOQL
Good to Have
- Experience in working with ServiceNow
- Experience supporting or leading projects
- Experience supporting Enterprise level applications
- Experience as a Devops Engineer, Software Engineer, or similar role
- Knowledge of SalesWings
- Knowledge around Salesforce licensing
- Knowledge of Agile Methodologies
Other Considerations:
- This position can be fully remote or in an office location.
- Limited travel as needed to support business
- Occasional irregular hours, including evening and weekend work.

Competitive Compensation:
We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $86,200.00 - $114,915.90, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - MIP, 10% Annual.
